Dry Needling
Dry needling helps reduce muscle pain and tightness by releasing trigger points, which can lead to improvements in range of motion and decreased stiffness in the treated area. By addressing these muscular restrictions, it may also help restore more normal movement patterns and improve muscle activation. Many patients experience a quick reduction in symptoms, which makes other physical therapy interventions, such as stretching, strengthening, and functional exercise, more effective. For this reason, dry needling is often used as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation plan to manage both acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain.
